Access Restrictions Notice (Effective since August 2024)

Due to increasing legal scrutiny, unresolved copyright claims, and multiple takedown requests involving third-party cultural materials, public browsing of the GFNDC archive has been suspended indefinitely.

While we continue to preserve billions of digital objects — including films, fanworks, codebases, chat logs, artwork, obsolete file formats, and legacy software — the legal landscape no longer permits us to make these materials openly accessible without a complex rights clearance process that would compromise our neutrality and mission.

As such, archive navigation is now restricted to vetted internal users. Use the authentication form below to verify access rights. Note: This login does not function for general public use.

If you are a journalist, academic researcher, or institutional partner and require access to a specific collection, please write to archive-request@gfndc.org with a brief description of your request. We assess all inquiries individually under our Ethics Protocol and Legal Review standards.
